What is Botox and Dysport?
Botox® and Dysport® are effective FDA-approved nonsurgical injectables that temporarily reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines. They contain a neurotoxin which blocks the actions of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, reducing the activity of the injected muscles. This causes relaxation of the muscles causing the unwanted wrinkles. You may see results as early as 24 to 48 hours after injection, with results typically visible in 7 to 10 days after injection. The procedure is quick, with little discomfort, and no downtime from normal activities or work. You will have natural looking results that last 3 to 9 months.
