What Is Testosterone?
Testosterone is the main sex hormone found in men and produced mainly in the testes. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of the male reproductive organs and characteristics such as deepening of the voice and body hair growth. Testosterone also plays a role in muscle strength, sex drive, fat distribution, mood, and bone strength.
How Does Testosterone Work ?
Signals are sent from the brain's hypothalamus to the pituitary gland, a small gland at the base of the brain, to control the production of testosterone in men. The pituitary gland releases hormones, in particular, luteinizing hormone (LH), which signals to the testes to produce testosterone. A "feedback loop" closely regulates the amount of hormone in the blood. From there, testosterone moves through the blood to do its work.
What Is A Normal Level Of Testosterone For Men?
Between 350 ng/dL and 1000 ng/dL of testosterone is considered normal for men. Your testosterone levels change from hour to hour. They tend to be highest in the morning and lowest at night. Testosterone levels are highest by age 20 to 30 and slowly go down after age 30 to 35

Why Consider Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)?
Most men have a natural decline of testosterone by 1-2% every year after the age of 30. It is estimated that more than 25 million men in the U.S. have low testosterone but are unaware of their condition. Or many have low testosterone symptoms and accept them as the "normal aging process." The good news is when hormones are replaced or restored back to physiological levels, which are considered normal for younger males, many men experience a dramatic reversal of these changes. Our goal at JR Medical Aesthetics & Wellness is to get you feeling your best again.
